¶ 🛠️ Account Info or Settings Missing After Installing Beta
¶ 🧩 Problem
You upgrade to Bambu Studio Beta from the stable release and your previous settings are now inaccessible.
¶ 🔍 Cause
Bambu Studio’s stable release and beta versions use separate configuration folders. The Beta starts fresh and doesn’t automatically inherit your existing setup.
¶ ✅ Fix
¶ 1️⃣ Locate the configuration folders
¶ 🪟 Windows
- Close both versions of Bambu Studio.
- Open File Explorer.
- Paste the following into the address bar and press Enter:
C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\
- You should see two folders:
BambuStudio→ Stable versionBambuStudioBeta→ Beta version
🔎 If you don’t see
AppData, enable Hidden items in File Explorer.
¶ 🍎 Mac
- Open the stable version of Bambu Studio
→ Go to Help → Show Configuration Folder - Repeat the same steps in the Beta version.
¶ 2️⃣ Close Bambu Studio completely
Make sure both versions are fully closed.
¶ 3️⃣ Copy the settings
- Open the
BambuStudiofolder. - Copy all contents.
- Paste them into the
BambuStudioBetafolder. - Allow file replacement if prompted.
¶ 4️⃣ Reopen Bambu Studio Beta
Your account, profiles, and settings should now carry over.
⚠️ Always close Bambu Studio before copying.
