Helio’s fair use policy keeps simulations and optimizations fast and reliable for everyone. We set a few practical limits to protect service quality, curb abuse, and provide predictable performance. If you have an urgent need beyond these limits, reach out—we’re happy to discuss case-by-case options.
Limit type | Personal / Plus | Business |
---|---|---|
Object weight | ≤ 750 g | ≤ 750 g |
File size (gcode/project) | ≤ 100 MB | ≤ 100 MB |
Concurrent simulations/optimizations | Up to 3 (Plus; Personal Free may be lower) | Higher than Plus (varies by account; contact us if you find yourself constantly hitting your limits) |
Why a weight limit? Object weight is a fast proxy for computational complexity and practical value (We can read it quickly and return a warnning to you without embarking on a long simulation time or consuming an optimisation run). Very large parts cool slowly, so optimization gains are limited while runtimes and queue times grow. Past this size, the user experience tends to degrade.
We enforce a 750 g weight ceiling for both Personal/Plus and Business accounts to balance performance and value:
If your part exceeds 750 g, consider quick manual adjustments that often deliver similar value:
We cap gcode/project file size at 100 MB for similar reasons: very large inputs increase compute load and queue times with limited incremental value. If you legitimately need more, contact us for options.
To keep queues healthy and results timely:
If you have a time-sensitive batch, reach out and we’ll see what we can do—sometimes better settings or an alternative approach is the right answer.
To keep free simulations available for genuine users, we actively prevent abuse. We may block or rate-limit:
We may adjust limits or temporarily suspend usage if activity appears excessive or unfair—even if it technically fits within your plan. Our goal is to protect overall service quality and fairness.
